We are pleased to announce that our upcoming public night on Thursday, December 19 will feature special programming by science education group Dark Skies, Bright Kids. Operating out of the UVA Astronomy Department, this graduate student-run program seeks to foster the natural curiosity of elementary school children in the surrounding Charlottesville community by helping them explore the Universe and basic astronomy concepts through fun, hands-on activities. Learn more about their work here.

DSBK facilitators will be on hand from 6-8 pm on December 19 to run an infrared camera activity and a make-your-own constellation project. We hope to see you there for this exciting event!
